National Writing Month is almost upon us, and I am gearing up for it. I signed up for NaNoWriMo and have started adding writing buddies. I signed up for United States :: District of Columbia and United States :: Virginia :: Northern. What’s great about signing up for Regions is that they usually have get togethers where you can meet other Writers who are also participating in NaNoWriMo.

This upcoming Sunday, I am headed to the DC NaNoWriMo Kickoff Party. I am hoping to meet new writing buddies, and get tips from NaNoWriMo veterans.  Looking at my regions, there are going to be regular Write-In sessions in local coffee shops where you can write alongside other NaNoWriMo Writers.

Regions are even using NaNoWriMo to help raise money for numerous causes.  I heard from a friend that San Francisco is going to have a Write-a-Thon where the money raised goes to charity.  I am trying to see if I can head over there for the event because it sounds like a fun night surrounded by other Writers.
