About Me
Who is behind Chicwriter?
Shevonne Polastre has worked as a Technical Writer for over 11 years for various IT companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations in the Washington, DC area. She has also worked as a Business Analyst for over six years. Shevonne has worked on technical documentation (e.g. user manuals, requirements, project management, system, functional, etc.), proposals, and grants. She has also assisted clients in developing requirements that were later used to design solutions that would solve their problems. Working with various companies, Shevonne has learned what makes a successful team.
Shevonne has a passion for blogging and social media as well. She has been blogging for over ten years, and she has been on the Internet since the times of AOL and Compuserve. Being an avid blogger/writer, Shevonne has written for several publications, like Mashable, Techipedia, Macgasm, Penn Olson, and MakeTechEasier. She has learned how to install and configure blogs on different Content Management Systems, like WordPress. She has also learned search-engine marketing (SEO) best practices. Analytics is a must, so she uses the different tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Keyword Tool, Browser Extension SEO, etc.) to keep track on how well her blogs are doing.
Currently, she is busy studying to get certifications in the business analysis and proposal writing areas.
